We are proud to share that our PI Nadine Binder, group leader at the Institute of General Practice at the Medical Center – University of Freiburg, has been awarded the 2025 Sabine-von-Kleist Habilitation Prize. This annual award by the Medical Faculty of the University of Freiburg honors outstanding early-career female scientists and supports their research path with a €5,000 prize.
The award ceremony took place on May 15 during the Faculty Council meeting and was presented by Daiana Stolz, equal opportunities representative of the Medical Faculty, in the presence of Dean Lutz Hein.
At SmallData, Nadine Binder acts as principal investigator for both project A02 and the SMART doctoral program, and is a member of the management committee. Her habilitation work focused on the integration of complex variable structures to reduce bias in clinical research, contributing significantly to the methodological foundations of medical data analysis and reinforcing the connection between clinical practice and statistical evaluation.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations on this well-deserved recognition and wish her continued success in her impactful research journey.
