Full program: Mini Symposia | ISCB GMDS Annual conference 2026
The event will feature leading experts in small data research, highlighting tabular foundation models (Frank Hutter and Pascal Schlosser), whole-body modeling and population studies (Anna Köttgen and Johannes Hertel), the modeling of disease progression in multiple sclerosis (Heinz Wiendl and Susanne Weber), and work in rare disease settings with limited data to ensure optimal clinical management of patients (Martin Wolkewitz and Maria Elena Maccari). Nadine Binder and Jan Hasenauer will discuss AI-assisted continuous-time modelling under sparse and irregular observation; and Maria Kalweit and Evelyn Ullrich will cover cellular data. Panel discussions will further explore these concepts, allowing for audience participation.
Poster sessions and flash presentations will also highlight prominent work from the CRC 1597 Small Data to help foster interdisciplinary exchange and create a shared small data language.
